Derek Prince On Women in the Church and Women Pastors. In this video Derek Prince discusses the topic of women in ministry. Derek Prince reviews Ephesians 4:11 which states: "And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds[a] and teachers". Derek Prince reviews the five fold ministry positions and states which one are open to women and which ones are not. Derek Prince sermon states that women can be evangelist and prophets. He does not believe the offices of a pastor, teacher or apostle are not normally open to women (He left a little room for very rare circumstance like a remote region with no men). He explains why Women cannot be Apostles, Pastors (elders) or Teachers, because it involves governmental authority. Women are called to play the supporting role of a helper which is associated with the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not inferior to God or Jesus. He just has a different role. We are all equally valuable in Gods sight but we do not all have equal roles. Derek Prince is one of the fathers of the modern day Charismatic movement. You would be hard pressed to find a more qualified bible teacher. He is able to teach Greek at University level. Derek Prince end the video saying that leadership is basically male.
