(traditional, Klezmer)
This one was just too hard for me when I first started playing accordion, given that I wasn't focusing on any scales or anything. I came back to it a few years ago having put some work in on the rudiments, and the melody was much easier, although I found that keeping the hard syncopation of the "terk" rhythm in Klezmer was difficult against the busy melody. So, this is of a tune that I'll probably keep playing for awhile. While I am familiar with this from the Klezmer repertoire, the tune exists all over eastern Europe and the Balkans under the name Uskudar, and if you, like me, are a nerd, you'll enjoy checking out each country's unique stamp and ornamentation on this tune.
