Over the course of four separate bursts of play (lasting about a week each), I logged nearly 170 hours in FTL, an indie game with a simple premise and stellar design, plus tons of neat narrative threads throughout that help to enrich the game's universe. In that time, several tracks from Ben Prunty's excellent OST got pretty thoroughly ingrained in my head. So when Pixel Mixers announced their Indie Games album, I knew I had to cover one of these tracks. It was a pleasure to use a Hammond Organ in one of the studios at a nearby music school where I teach, as well as piano, accordion and percussion.
