I'm delighted to share that Caroline Lucas and I have written a piece for the latest issue of Resurgence magazine called "The Case for Climate Popularism." It's print only, so if you want to read it you'll need to get hold of a copy. In it we argue that it's time to bring into politics the kind of sensibility we've been calling for at the Climate Majority Project: a response to our situation that draws on the emotional power populism has aimed to mobilise, but does so in a way that depolarises rather than divides, bringing people together around our most fundamental need to protect ourselves against what is already here and what is coming; and around reducing the way climate impacts, arriving hard and fast, are eating into our quality of living and driving up the cost of living. The article is a preview of our forthcoming report on climate popularism, which will be available online from the Climate Majority Project website in September, and shared across our social channels. Do pick up the print issue of Resurgence now if you'd like the first taste... and be sure to also check out CMP's website in September.
