When tools like DALL·E and Stable Diffusion began creating images from text, researchers asked: Could the same concept apply to generating clinically accurate chest X-rays? Their answer is RoentGen — an AI model that generates realistic X-rays from medical descriptions using a denoising diffusion process. These synthetic images fill data gaps, reduce bias, protect privacy, and support education and AI training.
