Denny Hamlin won his 63rd NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan. Hamlin’s win tied him with Kyle Busch for 9th on the all time wins list. Hamlin paid tribute to his former teammate after the race with a custom flag with Kyle Busch’s name and 18/8 number fonts as well as a hat. Christopher Bell was involved in a hard crash with Chase Elliott and is going to undergo further evaluation in Charlotte for potential ankle and wrist injuries. We saw multiple wrecks throughout the day and a record setting number of cautions at Michigan. Pocono is next.
