Demon Front, at first glance, looks like a straight up Metal Slug clone. Anyone who thinks that is mostly right. The gameplay feels more hectic but the options the game gives the player is more than enough to fight off the hordes.

The most interesting mechanic of the game is the pet mechanic. Each character has a pet that gives offensive and defensive options. The offensive attacks differ between characters. The defensive option is a shield between all characters and can take a few hits before disappearing. Do be careful though because if the shield disappears so does your pet, severely reducing your options. One interesting thing to note here as well as there are no vehicles like in Metal Slug

If you love run 'n guns, which I'm sure you do, you have to check this game out. It's hard to find a real life cabinet so try looking for other accessible options. I don't know much about IGS but I feel like this might lead me down a rabbit hole
