This is a video that shows a very easily understandable demo of the French Link Stitch which is used to sew papers together to make into a handmade art book or journal.
The video uses tools that you will probably have in the house, therefore, no need to go and buy speciality tools
A needle can be used for the bradawl or punch to make the holes and a darning needle for the stitching. Any threads can be used just double them up if it is the thinner thread.

You will need
pencil
ruler
paper clips
a small length of strong cardboard or plastic for hole marking template
Punch or bradawl
darning needle or really any larger needle
thread or yarn
papers for the signatures
two 8 inches by 1/4 inch lengths of wood
Two bulldog clips or spring clamps to make a bookbinding clamp
Bookbinding glue
