He calls out the continued neglect of our NHS, demanding the return of Rochdale Infirmary’s maternity ward and the long-overdue cardiology hub that was promised when services were taken away.
But his vision goes further—he highlighted the deep deprivation across our borough, from Middleton to Heywood, and Smallbridge to Firgrove. With antisocial behaviour rising, food bank use growing, and a severe lack of local jobs, Khan made it clear: Rochdale deserves better.
As a Workers Party candidate, he emphasised that putting the community first means working across party lines. He pledged to be a loud, unignorable voice for residents, taking their concerns directly to central government if needed.
“I am not speaking for myself,” Khan said. “I am speaking for every person in our community. Together, we will make Rochdale heard again.”
