(in that it's secret if you've never played Deltarune in the last six or seven years)

The first chapter in this particular series came out of nowhere and, in spite of only being 3-5 hours long, blew people's socks off. And the most interesting part is the secret boss, which unlike sands and Undyne, didn't require excessive levels of violence to reach them in an hours-long grind that'd put off all but the most determined. It's just a key hunt, talk to a few guys, and now YOU TOO can be spun 'round the carousel, up-chucking on the shiny panelling.

Revisited this cause a friend's having trouble with the fight, and felt compelled to see if it was as bad as I remember. This is not a first try clear - I edited the intro in from the first try. But a quick derust informed me that yeah, it's quite tough. I got it on the second try, so not too long spent on it, and I still make some dumb mistakes (Devilsknife smiles a bit too hard at times 😅)

And despite what the game tells you, there IS strategy to this fight beyond "just dodge". It's positioning, it's knowing the carousel heads don't hurt, it's stopping at times to let more shots aim at you so you're able to dodge more with less movement as opposed to always being on the move; It's knowing what moves AREN'T aimed so you need to account for their position alongside the aimed shots. And, of course, knowing when to Pirouette so you aren't screwing yourself over LMAO
