🏆They stunned top-ranked Chinese pair Feng Yanzhe and Huang Dongping 22-20, 19-21, 21-15 to become the first European pair in 17 years to win the mixed doubles world championship.

😁“I was thinking that it's amazing to be between two Chinese flags,” Gicquel added. “When you are 10 years old and you are a French badminton player, you don't believe that can happen.”

🇫🇷Delrue and Gicquel were not the only ones making history on Sunday. Their fellow French player #AlexLanier defeated Kodai Naraoka of Japan 21-11, 21-11 to become the first French player to ever win a badminton men's singles world championship.
