I'm very happy with this boss fight. The Macaque Chief is a repeating boss in Black Myth Wukong that can't be killed in the first few encounters. They usually disappear at about half health, leaving a green teleport effect. I wanted to see if I could take 100% of their health off before that happened, and if so, what would happen?
Turns out you can - at least, you can in NG+3 at max level 342. Turns out you get both the teleport effect and the boss death ashes effect one after the other. Made me happy to do this as in all my previous runs the boss had scurried away with a little health still remaining and until now I wasn't sure it was even possible. Turns out it was not only possible, but easy too.
