The 369th Experience Band was created to serve as a living memorial to the story of African American and Puerto Rican American soldiers who fought gallantly in World War One in the 369th Regiment, known as the Harlem Hellfighters.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the 369th Experience is dedicated to developing and implementing educational and cultural opportunities that share the stories of their service and sacrifice in battle, and for their lasting legacy of bringing American Jazz to Europe.

Today, 65 African-American and Puerto Rican men from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other school bands come together on special occasions to honor and commemorate their service and sacrifice.
