On behalf of Nihi Dine’é Bá Wellness Center and Tsehootsooi Medical Center, we thank our participants and fellow collaborators in joining us for our first-ever, Defying the Odds event on September 1, 2023, here at the Nihi Dine'e Ba Wellness Center. The Defying the Odds event was a huge success in offering adaptable activities for all ages and abilities. This special event was offered as part of our initiative to break down barriers (communication, physical and attitudinal) among individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), offering inclusive fitness and wellness for our IDD communities within the Navajo Nation.
