Sora 2 is here… and it’s wild. The new “Cameos” let you drop verified versions of yourself straight into generated videos. Think deepfakes, but shareable and (almost) believable. For now it’s capped at 15s, 720p, and only rolling out on iOS (invite-only, US/Canada), but it’s already closer than anything we’ve seen to replacing pro tools for quick, personal video creation.
It still looks a bit “AI-ish” if you know what to look for, but the gap is closing fast—especially when adding your own avatar for consistent content. Imagine daily AI-generated shorts where even I could cameo in or out. Real or fake?! Should I do that concept?
