This video compares the Deeper Pro (or Pro+) smart phone fish finder to a more conventional ice fishing flasher. In terms of ice fishing electronics, flashers have long been the go-to style for many. Deeper makes smart phone pairing sonars. They became popular for shore anglers and kayak anglers, but also have ice fishing capabilities. Deeper asked me to do a comparison of my Deeper Pro+ (for ice fishing the Deeper Pro and Pro+ are equivalent) compared to a standard flasher. I compared it to a Humminbird Ice 35 across as many categories as I could think of. Both showcase a flasher style display around a ring, but that's about where the similarities end. It's a apples to oranges comparison, with the Deeper winning many categories and the Humminbird winning others. Hopefully this comparison will help shed light on what to look for with new anglers deciding on equipment.
