I did some bow hunting in hill country in WI. In my past experience, this type of habitat is really good for deer movement and getting on deer in general; however, it can be very hard to get on old bucks outside of the rut due to the wind and thermal advantages that they have. On these hunts, I was fortunate enough to get eyes on some antler, film deer interactions, and of course learn.
