Hey Folks! Welcome back to the channel. This post is the 7th edition of this feature here at the channel, "Deep Cut Saturday" where I have been posting (primarily) audio from live shows of bands I was a part of when I wore a younger man's clothes. My intention with this segment is to try and post one select cut each month or so (no specific Saturday, just once a month or maybe more if I have some extra time) for as long as I have decent enough material to share. I hope you will enjoy what you hear, some of these still feel like they occurred recently for me (even though it was almost 20 years ago) when I reflect so its cool to share with the few folks who do frequent the channel from time to time.
This one I think was from a band practice sometime in 2001 or maybe 2002 and the song is really not even a real song. I think we might have just been messing around and what we have is a sort of bastardized version (lyrically speaking that is) of an ole Jerry Garcia tune name "Tore Up" that for some reason I decided to sing the words over this while we were playing everything (I used to have a tendency to sing inappropriate things at appropriate times). I don't think this was something we ever continued or actually played live but I thought it sounded kind of cool so here you are. Audio was I think recorded on a computer but using a really high impedance mic so it had a lot of top end and very little low end but I tried to EQ it best I could.
Playing on this one, yours truly butchering the vocals (sometimes even on key) and Rhythm Guitar, Rick Romanelli playing Guitar, Peter 'Shogun" Rutkowski on the keys. Drums, I believe were Mr. Ed Mook (Ed, how you been man?), and bass, well, not totally sure on the bass to be honest. It is either Brian McStay or possibly Scott Scassa on this one, but I am leaning towards Brian on it (never know, both are great bass players)...
