DeeJayOne needs to get something off his chest: Free love on the freebooting freeway.. I love YouTube. But there is a big problem with people freebooting content (ripping videos from one creator and uploading them to their own pages without permission or acknowledgement).

It has happened in the past but more recently I became a victim of Freebooting with a particular video I uploaded being ripped and shared dozens of times on Facebook and YouTube, as though it were their own creation. Not a single one asked permission, and not a single one gave credit or acknowledgement.

Bizarrely, when the situation was then dealt with, a few of the freebooters then played the victim and encouraged people to abuse and harass me on social media and via emails, etc.

I'm just a tiny voice on a tiny channel, god knows what it is like for those who have to make a proper living through YouTube and creative industries.

I'm not trying to play the victim or point the finger. Things have been dealt with in the proper way thus far from my end. I'm just giving my side of the story and point of view after a silly couple of weeks. I don't even wish to comment or engage about this any further.
