This is an investigation into what brought the Manson Family to Death Valley, California. The beginnings start with one of the members of the Manson family who's family has been there since the early 1900's. Then after the land owner died he left land there in a family trust the family stills runs from the ranch they built there in the 1930's. It's more a history story than any murder story but it helps with understanding of the other story. It's also a warning of the surveillance that is happening there in Death Valley, 24 hours a day with state the the art equipment.
