Here's a bunch of scenes from a recent winning playthrough. A lot of the game was carried by two characters: Heracles (randomly generated name), who got lots of strength bonuses. Also Jazmin (also randomly generated name), who saved the day a couple times with her high shooting skill.
The entire game was fairly lucky, if not incredibly so. Highlights:
1. Found an early AK47 on the ground, but didn't use it until the very end of the game. At that point had like 250 bullets for it, which made the normal mode pretty much a guaranteed win.
2. Jazmin saves everyone in the sewers, but then dies right after. The car breaks down, then bandits got her. RIGHT AFTER that, the mechanic got some skill bonuses and the group got a crapmobile that was really bad BUT was really easy to repair. That car lasted for the rest of the game.
3. Buying a Fire Axe for Heracles really early. This is a good but not great weapon. Probably just a little worse than an Aluminum Bat or Sturdy Machete, and certainly not as good as a Medieval Axe or Knight Sword or Claymore.
4. Everyone else in the group getting little hatchets for theme.
5. Getting a sumo wrestler and molotovs right before the endgame!
6. The end levels were real easy after getting all this stuff, at least on normal mode. I didn't show too much of the end because I don't want to spoil it.
I'll post more montages like this until the release of the game!
