It's time for another honest conversation about the state of 3D printing. In my last video, I shared some industry frustrations, and the response was overwhelmingly positive and supportive—so first off, thank you! Your support, insights, and discussions really got me thinking.
I've spoken up for content creators and open-source developers before, but what about you—the passionate hobbyists and power users who helped build this industry? After spending countless hours testing 3D printers, reading comments, and talking with the community, I’ve compiled a list of things we are fed up with—issues that 3D printer manufacturers NEED to fix in 2025. And I don't spare anyone... I pick at the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, the Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo, the FLSun T1 Pro... even the Prusa Core ONE! This video does not intend to attack any one brand, but rather the industry's direction as a whole... though admittedly a larger number of the gripes are pertinent to the Bambu Lab X1 Carbon, the FLSun T1 Pro, and AnyCubic Kobra S1 Combo.
Truthfully, the impetus for this video was seeing yet another rebranded version of Orca Slicer. Elegoo Slicer, FLSun Slicer, Creality Print, AnyCubic Slicer Next... I can't keep track of them all.. and they all STINK. But then, I got going, and ended up getting it ALL off my chest. And you all get to grab a bucket of popcorn and listen in.
