Hotel Park City/Ruth's Chris Super Fan Dean Taylor joins Dave McCann and Blaine Fowler live in the Provo studio with his wife, Jennifer, calling himself a "convert" super fan. Dean grew up in Oklahoma rooting for Oklahoma State during the Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas era before coming to BYU for school, where Jennifer — a Kaysville native who has memories of watching the 1980 Miracle Bowl alone, up late as a kid — turned him into a lifelong Cougar fan. The two have held season tickets since 2014, and Dean's favorite memories are simply being at games with their five kids, who now rotate in and out as four of the five have married. He raves about BYU's game-day atmosphere — the fireworks, fire dancers and third-quarter show that catches visiting fans like Notre Dame off guard — and says he's most excited this season to watch freshmen Legend Glasker and Journee Tonga make their mark.
Dean and Jennifer then play a round of "Where Were You?", placing themselves in their front room for Brandon Doman's touchdown pass that sent LaVell Edwards out a winner against Utah in 2000, in the north end zone for Luke Staley's game-winning sprint against the Utes in 2001, watching Tyler Allgeier's iconic stripped fumble return against Arizona State from the same end zone seats in 2021, and at home for Will Ferrin's 40-yard, game-winning field goal at Rice-Eccles Stadium in 2024 — a kick that only happened because of a controversial holding call and a difficult sideline catch by Chase Roberts on the ensuing drive.
