Formed in Glasgow in 1985, Deacon Blue became one of Scotland’s most successful bands, combining melodic pop and rock with thoughtful songwriting. Led by vocalist Ricky Ross, the band achieved major success in the UK with albums including Raintown (1987), When The World Knows Your Name (1989) and Fellow Hoodlums (1991).
By the time of this 1993 session, Deacon Blue had established themselves as one of the UK's leading bands, known for their melodic songs, distinctive arrangements and Ross's expressive vocals.
