DCKO is finally playable, and after spending roughly an hour with the mobile fighting game, I walked away way more impressed than I expected. In this video, I'm giving my early first impressions and review of DCKO after playing through its single-player content on iPhone, followed by over an HOUR of raw, uninterrupted gameplay so you can see exactly how the game plays for yourself. While DCKO obviously isn't Injustice 3, the combat immediately reminded me of the classic days of Injustice Mobile, Mortal Kombat Mobile, and WWE Immortals, featuring familiar tap and swipe attacks, grabs, blocking, combos, super moves, character swapping, boss battles, and a surprisingly addictive progression loop. We'll also take a look at DCKO's single-player map, battles against characters like Wonder Woman, Doomsday, and Bane, character leveling, health resources, skins and cosmetics, and the summon system that allowed me to unlock a ridiculous number of characters by the end of my play session. I did run into some early alpha issues, including Rift Mode repeatedly crashing on my iPhone 16 Pro and occasional stuttering during character intros, but matches loaded incredibly fast, my phone stayed surprisingly cool, and the overall gameplay experience was genuinely fun. The first roughly eight minutes of this video are my review and first impressions, but after that I'm getting out of the way and letting the raw gameplay speak for itself. PvP is still going to be the REAL test, but based on what I've played so far, DCKO might actually scratch some of that Injustice itch while we wait to see what's next from NetherRealm Studios.
