Disney's California Adventure opened in February 2001, and from that time until January 2011, just a month shy of a decade, the giant letters C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I and A stood out in front of DCA welcoming millions of guests to CALIFORNIA!

Although the park has a fantastic new entrance and a GREAT re-theming around the still-relatively-new Buena Vista Street, some of us grew attached to those giant CALIFORNIA letters.

I knew I had to take a break on a recent road trip and visit my old friends in front of their new home at Cal Expo in Sacramento, CA!
