The Wildrose Charcoal Kilns; from the Death Valley National Park website: "Completed in 1877 to supply charcoal for the Modock Mines 25 miles to the west in the Argus Range, these kilns were likely only used until 1879."

We came to the hottest and driest park on earth only to accidentally encounter snow!
