The Dayton Newspaper Guild, the union that represents employees of the Dayton Daily News, protested in front of the Cox Media Center on South Main Street in Dayton this afternoon. Guild President Lou Greco says guild members are angry with management offers during contract negotiations that included layoffs without regard to seniority, the hiring of freelancers, and a two-percent merit raise offer.
