The Dayton Informer seeks to raise $3,000 in order to pay for 100 reports from the various City Boards of the City of Dayton, which go virtually uncovered in the local media. A list of these various boards and their members can be found at:

Boards such as the Port Authority, The Board of Zoning Appeals, Landmark Commission, go completely unchecked by Dayton's media. However, these boards often yield considerable power and spending ability.
While this kind of journalism is not the sexiest, it is among the most important kind that a media outlet can provide a community. The Dayton Informer City Board Coverage Fund will help to assure that all Daytonians are better informed about the inner-workings and personalities of their government.
What We Need
We need $3,000 to fund 100 reports, at which time we will launch new fundraisers such as a benefit concert, or other means to help fund our project. If our goal is not reached, we will use whatever funds that are donated to fund as many reports as we can.
The Impact
With coverage of The City of Dayton's many boards, Daytonians will be able to be much more informed about who, how and why your tax dollars are being spent, and get a much better look into the inside structure of The City of Dayton which currently goes uncovered by local media, but which impact the lives of all Daytonians.
