For the Momos Filling:
- 1 cup finely chopped mixed vegetables (cabbage,carrot capsicum work well)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon Schezwan chutney
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Dim sum Wrapper:
- momos dough (readily available in the market)
For Dipping Sauce:
- Soy sauce
- Schezwan Chutney
Method:
1. Prepare the Filling:
- In a bowl, mix together all the filling ingredients - chopped vegetables, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, salt, and pepper.
2. Assemble the Dumplings
- Place a small amount of filling in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water.
- Fold the wrapper in half to create a half-moon shape, sealing the edges by pressing them together.
3. Steam the momos
- Arrange the dumplings on a steamer basket lined with parchment paper.
- Steam for about 10-12 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked through.
4. Prepare the Dipping Sauce
- Mix soy sauce, and Schezwan chutney in a small bowl. Adjust quantities to your taste preference.
5. Serve
- Carefully remove the steamed veg momos from the steamer.
