Hole in the Rock is a must-see site when visiting Phoenix, Arizona. It's a very short trail so it's perfect for beginner hikers and young kids, taking only about 10 minutes to get from the bottom to the top. Located in Papago Park, the 'hole' is a uniquely formed buttes made out of sandstone. The buttes are reddish in color and from close up look very porous.
Closeby is the Desert Botanical gardens, which houses one of the largest collections of arid plants in the world.
We ended the day one of the best gourmet taco restaraunts in Phoenix, La Santisima.
