Day 35 of my European motorcycle tour on the BMW R1250GS.

The day begins with my final ride out of Albania and into Montenegro, taking the stunning coastal route with epic views. I ride through the historic town of Kotor, and even consider a ferry trip to Our Lady of the Rocks—but at €30, that’s a no-go!

From there it’s on to the Ilino Brdo border crossing. What looks like an easy pass turns into a 30-minute wait behind a coach after skipping past the long car queues. Eventually I make it into Bosnia and Herzegovina, heading for Mostar, where the BMW is due for a service the next day.

A ride of three countries, amazing coastline, and a taste of border-crossing reality.
