ThunderboltsProject | David Talbott: Symbols of an Alien Sky – A Reconstruction | EU2014 @ThunderboltsProject | Uploaded May 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 minute ago.
In this re-release of his EU2014 Conference talk, David Talbott presents a reconstruction of his "Symbols of an Alien Sky" series.
A few thousand years ago a gathering of planets hung as towering forms in the ancient sky close to the earth, provoking spectacular electric discharge formations above our forebears and inspiring the vast complex of world myths and symbols.
David offers glimpses of this mythic subject matter and describes the protocol for drawing reliable conclusions from ancient witnesses. It’s an unique perspective on planetary history and the profound celestial events that shaped early cultures across the world.
David Talbott is the founder and director of The Thunderbolts Project. His perennial work "The Saturn Myth" (Doubleday, 1980) was a forerunner to a broader understanding of comparative mythology, and he co-authored two classic books with Wal Thornhill, "Thunderbolts of the Gods" (2005) and "The Electric Universe" (2007).
