An old (and also long-time!) friend has a thing for trains, both real (old and steam) and model. He has created a huge layout with many trestles and water features, along with reproductions of many historical Vermont businesses (rock, quarries, logging, mills, etc). There also are dozens of vignettes of people just going about their day. Also little details about railroad operation (coal bins, manual cranes to lift the coal into the trains, etc). This video is a very quick tour of his layout. It goes not get close to doing it justice. I hope to do better next time.
