We adopted a female brindle greyhound less than a month ago, and named her Mojo. Conventional wisdom is to NEVER let them off leash, because if they get excited or distracted, they can be off like a shot, and by the time they slow down, they will be lost. But it has been clear that she REALLY wanted to play and run; we cannot run fast enough for her to get past a canter. So we've been experimenting with letting her off leash near the house, at the start and end of each walk. As you can see, she is a playful and enthusiastic dog. It is so much fun seeing her express her exuberance with her body!
