Abstract: The Data Repository Explorer, DataRepExp, is an open-source R Shiny app developed to improve the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability (FAIR) of research data hosted on a data repository. The interactive data visualisation tool includes metadata, filters, reports, visualisation, and preliminary analysis features with loose coupling module design. While the application was developed for the Dementias Platform Australia (DPAU), we envision this work could be utilized by other data repositories. The released version used simulated data for demonstrating purposes, and the DPAU version is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for high availability, scalability, security, and compliance.
