We live in an age of data, where companies and investors seem to believe that data (with an assist from AI) can answer any question. I believe that data can help us make better decisions, but I don't believe that it can make those decisions, without the guidance of common sense and perspective. Every year, for the last three decades, I have collected data on all publicly traded companies in the world, and analyzed and aggregated the data to provide industry averages on dozens of corporate finance and valuation-related variables. The 2025 data update is now up and running, and I hope that you find a use for it somewhere in your work.
