Gina-B Silkworks | Darn it! - Teneriffe Lace fillings - creating solid pattern blocks on your medallions / How to @GinaBSilkworks | Uploaded September 2021 | Updated October 2024, 11 hours ago.
In this video we are going to look at a few ways to change Teneriffe lace wheels. The basic knot will be shown (can't show that enough!) and then darning, adding thread, and working the scalloped (sc) edge.
I'll be using one of our looms - Loom #1 from the Teneriffe Lace Starter Kit.
I'll also be using a No 8 cotton perle thread.
Both are available on our website at:
ginabsilkworks.co.uk/ginabshop
as well as many other looms for different shapes
You may wish to watch my previous video showing how to set up the loom and stretch the web - youtu.be/gsDtrJfehCg
00:00 - intro
01:25 - centre treatment - double darning
05:06 - the Teneriffe lace knot
10:00 - adding a new length of thread to your Teneriffe medallion
17:49 - darning to create solid blocks
22:22 - the reveal
