In this video James (Jivey) joins forces with Kevin Walker from Ten Ton Recordings and James Curtis-Thomas from Saviour Music to mix a rock song (Losing Control by Nuns Of The Tundra) and answer the ultimate mixing question. Is mixing on a console, in this case a beautiful SSL G Series, BETTER than mixing in the box with plug-ins? It's a long video, so grab a coffee and your favourite snack and get tucked in as James, Jivey and Kev, strap their best mixing ears on and using some of Kev's favourite outboard gear and that glorious desk they get to work to craft the mix.
