Welcome to the first Darkfall Live stream. In this Stream we will be looking at the Masking tools a little more closely. We will also look at a practical use via a small rotoscoping project where we add color to lips along with occluding any objects that may get in the way.
Feel free to ask questions about this or other topics or simply drop us a message and say hello. If you guys like this Live Stream we can look at doing more.
I thought this would be a good way to show you something and you can get to ask questions along the way. If you have any suggestions on what you want to see, be sure to comment below or on our Facebook Group: facebook.com/groups/darkfallblender
I hope you enjoy this stream and as always thanks for your support!..

![Blender Python Tutorial : An Introduction to Scripting [how to learn python for beginners]
In this Blender Python Tutorial, we will be taking a look at a basic introduction to Blender Python and scripting for beginners.
Looking to learn Python for beginners? You are in the right place. Be sure to check out the Scripting Playlist!.
Now I should mention that I am in no way an expert and in fact I only just started to learn python (and scripting in general) not that long ago.
We will take a look at some tips I have picked up, then arrange our scripting layout (its a good idea to save a template file for future projects).
In this example we will create an Object Adder Add-on. We will create a Panel for the 3D View. It will have a couple of buttons that when pressed, will add the specified object to our scene.
I know most of you will have an idea in mind, something you wish to achieve using python and we wont be able to cover everything in this one video. That being said, if you guys have any suggestions on what you want to see be sure to leave a comment below and I will try and answer it (or link to relevant information) if possible.
I hope you not only find this Blender Python Tutorial helpful but I also hope it inspires you to continue to learn python.

![Asset Creation: How to create Digital Graffiti - The Ocean Express [G.I.M.P]
In this video we will be looking at how we can create some Digital Graffiti using Gimp. It can then be used for a number of things (though in this example I add it to a video of a wall. Which was done using Blender).
Creating Digital Graffiti Assets like this can add more detail to your shot and it doesnt take long to make. If you guys like this video, let me know in the comments below and I will try and make more!.

![Blender Python Tutorial : How to create and assign a Material Shader [learn python for beginners]
In this Blender Python Tutorial, we will be taking a look at not only creating a Shader Material but also assigning that material to the currently selected object.
Looking to learn Python for beginners? You are in the right place. Be sure to check out the Scripting Playlist!.
We can create something simple or something complex but both ways will be using an Operator. We first create a panel where our button will live. Then we can create a simple operator, that when pressed will create and assign a Shader Material to the Selected Object.
If you want the user to have any options, we can easily upgrade the simple operator and make it become a popup dialog box. We can then giver the user control over any setting or option. In this example we want the user to be able to set the color before adding the Shader.

![Textures.com / CG Textures (Review)
In this Video we will be looking at Textures / formally known as CG textures. I have used this website for many years and it recently went through what they call The Great Overhaul, in which they have spent a lot of time in scanning objects, creating materials for us to use.
I will quickly show you how Textures.com Works and I will also use them in a scene.
Here is a quick and free way to help build your asset library. If you have any suggestions be sure to post them in the comments below.
[note - @3:37 I use a Bump node for the Normal (this is not correct). You should use a Normal Map Node Instead. You connect the Col of your Normal Image to the Col input and Select the UV]
I hope this video helps and as always, Thanks for watching!..
