Probably only Deadheads will really enjoy this, and to them I pose the question: Who knew Dark Star is only, like, 2 minutes long if you only play the parts with lyrics?!
Dark Star is such such a classic Dead tune- Hunter Garcia magic. It's one of their jammiest tunes- when they play it live it tends to run about 20 mins. I've gone from that into Operator, a tune written & sang by Pigpen (an early member who died too young) that was on the American Beauty album. I know they don't really go together... but... well... ::sticking out tongue & running away::
