As I discuss in the video, trailers of the Souls series have a history of spoiling a LOT, especially the ones released near launch. I have played all of the Souls games, some of them completely blind others partially aware of some bosses and locations, and I cannot stress enough how incredible it is to experience these games going in blind.
In the Dark Souls 3 trailers, some of the most memorable bosses are featured (often in their second phases) and even their cutscenes are in there. Seeing how the DLC is going to have much less content than the original game, I would say that watching any trailer is risky enough.
No hard feelings towards the channels that have analyzed the trailers, I've done it once too, but I would honestly recommend that you avoid those videos as well.
ADDRESSING CRITICISM:
Okay I was writing a huge ass comment addressing some criticism but it was deleted midway. I'm gonna sum up what it said. Please refer to this because I might have a hard time replying to all the comments.
"You're picking on Vaati!" By all means, watch his videos and support his work AFTER you've played the DLC, that way you won't have anything spoiled. That's what I'll do. I don't have any hards feelings towards him or anyone else (despite the ridiculous thumbnail) and after seeing his hilarious response to my "lore speculation" chart, I'd say some of you are taking this more seriously than he ever would.
"You're just jealous" and/or "trying to steal views" The reasons why I made this video are explained in it. Seriously. I believe that trailers can worsen your overall experience and I'm sharing my own expectations at the release of DS3. I don't get anything out of it. I'm not asking you to watch my videos and no one else's, I've presented you with arguments to decide whether or not you want to watch a particular kind of videos yet.
"Damn, you spoiled that there's only gonna be X bosses!" Apparently what I said is not exactly right so just go into the DLC and enjoy it.
"But duh! Trailers have spoilers! Everyone knows!" Yeah no. Trailers can be great and not spoil fundamental parts of the plot. Think about Dark Souls 2 (spoilers about it ahead). Do you remember the moment you met Vendrick? How amazing that was? Now imagine that he had been in a trailer. That moment would've been ruined. Same goes for everything else. DS3 trailers have been VERY spoiler heavy. Not everyone knows.
"But I don't care about the..." Fair enough, as I said in the video, my opinion might not match yours. I'm just trying to warn people who are undecided or don't know enough about how previous trailers have spoiled things. Reading the comments, I can already tell that many people were in that situation so that alone justifies making this video in my opinion.
"You're too late!" Also a fair point, but this warning will probably also extend to the second DLC that will come out after this one.
