Spin It is the first and only studio album by Albany, NY new-wave band Dance Planet. No year on this one. '88 is a guess. This seven-song EP sees them deliver some quality '80s new wave, full of synths and a sort of mildly dark mood that new-wave likes to invoke. New York always has been responsible for some great '80s bands, and this is no different. It's short and sweet and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes rare new-wave. If I could compare it to anything, think PJ & The Terrorists meets some of the fellows from the Sounds Eclectic compilation. The fidelity of the record however leaves something to be desired, it's got distortion issues common with shorter EPs of its type. Please don't let the limitations of vinyl as a medium detract from the experience.
