Using a simple high voltage DC source that can supply 20-30kV DC, two conducting plates (in this case thin pieces of wood coated in adhesive aluminum tape), ability to vary the distance between the two plates, and various shapes and sizes of foil lifters (shown in the video) we achieve interesting and cool electrostatic and ion induced levitation and motion effects.
