American Civil War text - a SONG OF TRIUMPH - not of winning a conflict, but of HOMECOMING....rejoining a family and a home. The soldier has been away for several very difficult years without communication or assurance of survival. But on the day of the soldier's return home - the other person "just KNOWS THAT TODAY IS THE DAY" and sure enough, the soldier rounds the bend near the old mill, and their love is standing on the porch - waiting with tears in their eyes. The reunion is a homecoming that is unforgettable and timeless.
