The biblical use of the word "god" (theos) is typically used to refer to the Father (99% of the time in the NT), BUT there is also a usage that refers to empowered and authorized representatives OF God. Persons like Judges and Kings of Israel are called gods, for example.
Likewise, things like miracles and forgiving sins are also delegated to God's representatives in the New Testament.
Someone just being called "god", or doing "god stuff", doesn't make them the only true God.
