Unitarian Christian Alliance | Sean Finnegan - on the Greco-Roman world @UnitarianChristianAlliance | Uploaded November 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Pastor Sean Finnegan offers two reasons for Christians to be interested in understanding the Greco-Roman world. First, is to understand the epistles of Paul. Understanding the thought world of his audience helps us understand how the earliest Christians were interacting with the culture that surrounded them. Second, is to understand subsequent Church history development. By understanding the Greco-Roman assumptions about the gods, we can better understand the development of christology.

This video is an excellent primer for Pastor Finnegan's full presentation at the conference, "The Deity of Christ from a Greco-Roman Perspective".
