LOS ANGELES — Newly unsealed court documents from Texas and California have revealed the most detailed account yet of the investigation into the death of 14‑year‑old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose dismembered remains were found inside a Tesla registered to singer David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd.
The documents, made public only because of an interstate subpoena dispute involving Burke’s family, confirm that Los Angeles County prosecutors have formally identified Burke as the “target” of a grand jury murder investigation.
