Singer and TikTok star D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, has been arrested in connection with the death of 14‑year‑old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, according to multiple major news outlets.
Celeste was reported missing in 2024 from Lake Elsinore, California. Over a year later, on September 8, 2025, her decomposed remains were discovered in the front trunk of a Tesla that had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills and later towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was registered to D4vd.
Police say the Tesla had been sitting for days, and workers reported a foul odor before discovering the body. At the time, D4vd was on his world tour, and several shows were later canceled following the discovery.
Authorities identified him as a suspect in late 2025, and on April 16, 2026, LAPD arrested him at a home in the Hollywood Hills. He is currently being held without bail, and the case is expected to be presented to the District Attorney for filing.
Some reports note that investigators believe more than one person may have been involved, based on the condition of the remains, though no additional arrests have been announced publicly.
