I (try) to go over the most basic stuff here. I may jump around a bit, but I'm trying to follow a textbook here.
The reason why I'm doing this is because I'm on a quest to find the link between the traditional ways of making music: with strict notation, on manually played instruments, and the newer ways: the piano roll, digital audio workstations, and the ability to create complex beats, sounds and mixes while being able to overlook even the most basic music theory (at least, from what I've seen).
I grew up with the classical, and I have started to study the electronic realm independently for a couple of years. I hope my dual talent of being able to play instruments manually AND be able to critically listen from the digital production side of things will come in handy. These videos are meant to help you, but they're also here so that I can help myself and practice speaking about what I know.
